Teacher’s profession: devotion through lifetime

It’s a well known fact that teaching is a very difficult job of great responsibility and most specific character. Needless to say, teaching is an exacting job because a teacher should correspond with many requirements.

The first thought that brings out to your mind when you see teacher’s work is the teacher’s great responsibility for children, for their lives. To be a teacher means to be an educated person, well-read, good at listening and comprehending others, easy to deal with, tolerant to other people’s weak points and, for that matter, very demanding to himself. Indeed, a good teacher is a communicator of knowledge but for that matter he should be a model of competence. And being at school, brings the idea home to you that teacher should have a thorough knowledge of the subject he is teaching, good teaching technique, a talent for maintaining discipline along with personal charm and patience.

In fact, to be a good teacher is to be a bit of an actor. This is a very important part of the technique of teaching. You must imagine that every lesson is a show and you are an actor at it. Your task is to involve children into this process, to make them lose their heart to your subject, to show all values of it. His job is to provide content that is truly interesting and meaningful to students- the study of themselves. And the teacher’s task is to think first about children and only then about the subject. A real teacher must live by their problems and, accordingly, establish a warm, supportive climate. It’s quite essential for further work and further relations between a teacher and children.

When you come into the classroom for the first time with a huge desire just to stuff children with knowledge to work without any idea about all these details, you are destinied to be brought down to earth. Such method of teaching makes the dead classroom where learning is just routine, dull and boring process. The dead classroom is the first signal to raise an alarm. In such case a teacher should be fussy about his teaching technique. He must do everything he wants but to make children lose their heart to him and to his subject, to make them active. Only the live classroom is full of learning activities in which students are enthusiastically and authentically involved. It will help to teach them, to addict them to this subject.

What is more, a real teacher must not forget that pupils are just children, they are human beings and of key importance, is using humanistic exercises focusing on the positive aspect. It’s impossible to urge children to study something with help of the negative emotions towards them or bad marks. A teacher should be a good psychologist, he must understand if we hear many good things about ourselves and one bad thing we are likely to forget all the wonderful things which we were said and dwell on the negative one. We must not forget about it.

Yes, in practice, teaching is an exacting job which demands you constant activity, creativity. It is a real devotion through lifetime.

As for the recipes for success, they don’t exist. We have just to decide for ourselves weather it’s our cup of tea or not. If we are sure in our desire, in our choice we’ll have a satisfying life, life full of happiness and joy.

Всем известен тот факт, что обучение - очень трудная работа, которая требует большой ответственности и особого характера. Само собой понятно, что работа учителя- изнуряющая работа, потому что учитель должен соответствовать многим требованиям.

Быть учителем означает быть образованным человеком, начитанным, умеющим слушать и понимать других, легко-входящим в контакт, терпимым к слабым местам других людей и, поэтому, очень требовательным к себе. Действительно, хороший учитель - коммуникатор знаний, но для этого он должен быть моделью компетентности. И находясь в школе, ты понимаешь, что учитель должен иметь глубокие знания по предмету, который он преподает, хорошую преподавательскую технику, талант для поддержания дисциплины наряду с личным обаянием и терпением.

Фактически, чтобы быть хорошим учителем необходимо быть немного и актером. Это очень важная часть техники обучения. Вы должны вообразить, что каждый урок - спектакль и вы - актер в нем. Ваша задача - включить детей в этот процесс, чтобы заставить их полюбить ваш предмет, чтобы раскрыть все его ценности. Его работа - обеспечить содержимое, которое действительно интересует и значимо для учеников- изучение себя. И задача учителя - изначально думать о детях и только затем о теме. Настоящий учитель должен жить их проблемами и, соответственно, взращивать теплый, благоприятный климат. Это очень важно для дальнейшей работы и дальнейших отношений между учителем и детьми.

Когда вы вступаете в классную комнату впервые с огромным желанием только передать детям знания, и работаете без любого представления обо всех этих деталях, вы обречены на провал. Такой метод обучения делает классную комнату мертвой, где изучение - только шаблонный, унылый и скучный процесс. Мертвая классная комната - первый сигнал для тревоги. В таком случае учитель должен пересмотреть свою преподавательскую технику. Он должен сделать все, что хочет, но заставить детей полюбить его и его предмет, чтобы сделать их активными. Только живая классная комната полна учебной деятельности, в которой студенты восторженно и искренне включены в процесс. Это поможет в обучении их, поможет увлечь их этим предметом.

Более того, реальный учитель не должен забывать, что ученики- только дети, они - люди и самое важное, использовать гуманистические методы, направленные на положительный аспект. Невозможно убедить детей изучить что-нибудь прибегая к негативным эмоциям направленных на них или на плохих оценках. Учитель должен быть хорошим психологом, он должен понимать, что, когда мы слышим много хорошего о себе, а потом что-то плохое, мы забываем обо всем хорошем и сосредотачиваемся только на плохом. Мы не должны забывать об этом.

Да, действительно, работа учителя - требовательная работа, которая требует от вас постоянной деятельности, творческого потенциала. Это – настоящий педагогический подвиг.

Относительно рецептов успеха, их не существует. Нам придется только решить для себя это - наше или нет. Если мы уверены в нашем желании, в нашем выборе, то у нас будет счастливая жизнь, жизнь, полная счастья и радости.

Every teacher must develop the characteristics of a professional and model professionalism every day. Speaking about the main elements of professionalism the main three categories should be indicated: attitude, behavior and communication. Addressing these areas can help any teacher to develop a stronger sense of professionalism.

Attitude is everything! A positive attitude is an essential component of professionalism. Beginning at the dimpliest level, teachers cannot let their personal lives interfere with there professional attitude. Even when having a bad day, a teacher still needs to maintain a positive attitude and not a bad mood on the students. A professional needs to push away outside concerns or distractions and focus on the task at hand.

One of the best things a teacher can do is to love his or her students. It is so important for students to know that their teachers care for them. A professional doesn’t view his or her profession as just a job, but rather sees it as a calling that is all about caring for children. The ability to make personal connections with students is an identifiable trait of a successful teacher. It’s easy to fall into the trap of focusing on the negative. Every job and profession has its ups and downs, and a true professional focuses his or her energy in a positive way. This calls for the attitude of assertiveness. When a teacher sees that something is not working well, he or she needs to take action and seek solution.

Risk taking is another element of a professional attitude. There can be no accomplishment without taking some risk. A professional should be willing to take risks and try new things, and thus avoid falling into a rut and becoming stagnant.

An attitude of confidence is another key component of professionalism. Lack of confidence can lead to social errors and unprofessional behavior. Teachers must know and trust themselves and their abilities.

An attitude of initiative is also important element. Professionals set goals for themselves and their students. They know what they want to achieve. One of the first signs that prove that teachers are becoming more professional is that they begin to take initiative, rather than wait to be told what to do.

Lastly, effective teachers need to commit themselves to being lifelong learners, because real professional has a continuing growth plan to achieve competence and strives continuously to raise the level of each new group of students.

One more category is behavior. A professional is defined not by the business a person is in but by the way that person does his or her business. Preparedness, one behavior associated with professionalism, is an important focus in the current standards movement that require that the teacher should know the subject matter and can teach it effectively so students can learn, teachers should know the content and methodology of what they teach. Teachers need to be prepared to teach the content of their lessons, as well as be prepared with the proper materials and resources. Many beginning teacher underestimate how much time proper planning and preparation entail. The sooner they understand this, the better.

Punctuality is another critical behavior associated with professionalism. It is critical that the teachers arrive on time, whether it is for the start of the school day or for picking up the students from a special class.

Teachers are encouraged to err on the side of formality, rather than to dress in casual or contemporary fashion. A teacher should look like a teacher, not one of the students. University or school is not the place to make wild fashion statements or to dress in provocative ways.

Being able to discern the types of topics that are appropriate for conversation is an important quality of professional behavior. It is recommended for teacher to avoid responding to inappropriate questions and ones that are too personal. In conversations, they also should avoid interrupting others and should think before they speak.

Respect – the act of displaying a high regard for students. A professional respects all others, even when that respect is not returned. As a role model for appropriate behavior, a teacher always must show respect to colleagues, parents and students. A professional treats everyone with dignity.

Numerous facets of communication impact professionalism. Among these are collaboration, cooperation, support and encouragement, and participation in learning communities, as well as basic modeling of proper language usage. Collaboration is one of the core propositions of accomplished teaching. Building good, strong relationships is part of being a professional. Teachers no longer can go into their classroom, shut the door and do their own things. The changing nature of schools calls for teachers to collaborate with others and work effectively as a team toward common goals. Collaboration is essential for meeting the needs of all the students.

Professionalism is a process more than an outcome – a way of encountering new students and new classroom problems and of finding meaning and solution to them as you grow. Educators play a significant role in enhancing the professionalism of the teaching field by demonstrating these characteristics in their own professional lives.

Мне кажется, после родителей учитель – самый важный человек в жизни ребенка, и именно этот факт делает профессию учителя такой значимой. Хорошие учителя мотивируют и поощряют своих учеников и вселяют в них уверенность в своих силах, даже если ученики думают, что неспособны научиться чему-либо. Плохие учителя также оказывают влияние на ребенка, однако негативное. Именно от учителя, каким бы он ни был, зависит, научится ли ребенок видеть разницу между плохим и хорошим и каким он впоследствии станет. И я мечтаю стать учителем, потому что эта самая важная профессия на земле.

My future profession is a teacher

I’m taking my school-leaving exams in the summer. As for my future profession , I can say that I’ve already made up my mind. I want to be a language teacher.

A teacher of a foreign language

The job of a language teacher is versatile. Teaching the language is naturally the primary task. On top of that, in language lessons the students have their thinking skills developed. In addition to actually teaching the language the language teacher’s job is also to help the students integrate in the country.

The culture of the country

A language teacher represents the culture of the country to the student and at school; sometimes they may be the student’s only contact with the culture in question. A language teacher also teaches the culture, its special features, principles, values and traditions to the students.

Teacher’s routine

Apart from that the job of a language teacher requires a lot of paper work. Public schools generally have a particular curriculum that the teacher must follow. There may be lesson plans already developed that the teacher can use, or he or she may be given leeway to develop their own lessons. Moreover, public schools often require students to take standardized tests during and at the end of a semester which the teacher has to check and provide feedback on. They may also have to attend weekly staff meetings.

Impact on a child’s perception

I believe that after parents, a child’s teacher is the most important person in their life and this makes teaching so important. Effective teachers can motivate and inspire children to reach their potential even when they don’t want to or feel that they can. Ineffective teachers can also impact a child just as much, but in a negative manner. Both types of teachers have an immediate impact on a child’s perception of self, good or bad. And I dream of being a teacher because teaching is the most important job in the world.

The profession of a teacher is a very noble one. A teacher is a very important person for every family, where the schoolchildren live.

I remember my first teacher very well. Her name was Natalia Victorovna. She was a kind woman and paid much attention to us all. She taught us to read and write, told us many interesting things about everything and she instructed us how to work. When we became fifth-formers we had one form-teacher and many other teachers in all school subjects.

My form-teacher’s name is Anna Ivanovna. She pays much attention to us and wants us to pass our examinations well. Most of the teachers that taught me all these years are kind people and good professionals.

Some pupils in our form want to enter the Teacher Training University and to become teachers at school. But I myself do not want to be a teacher because this profession is very difficult. The profession of a teacher demands a great erudition and a great patience to children. I believe, that people, who teach children, must have more time for self-education and must be paid well.

Профессия учителя является очень благородной. Учитель является очень важным человеком для каждой семьи, где живут школьники.

Я помню свою первую учительницу очень хорошо. Ее звали Наталья Викторовна. Она была доброй женщиной и уделяла много внимания всем нам. Она учила нас читать и писать, рассказывала нам много интересного обо всем, и она приучила нас к работе. Когда мы стали пятиклассниками у нас появился классный руководитель и много других учителей по всем школьным предметам.

Имя моего классного руководителя - Анна Ивановна. Она уделяет большое внимание нам и хочет, чтобы мы сдали экзамены хорошо. Большинство учителей, которые учили меня все эти годы- добрые люди и хорошие специалисты.

Некоторые ученики нашего класса хотят поступить в государственный педагогический университет и стать учителями в школе. Но я сам не хочу быть учителем, потому что эта профессия очень трудная. Профессия учителя требует большой эрудиции и большого терпения. Я считаю, что люди, которые учат детей, должны иметь больше времени для самообразования и должны получать хорошие деньги.

Учитель ... Кто это ? Обратившись к " Словарю русского языка " известного советского лингвиста Сергея Ивановича Ожегова , находим : " Учитель - лицо , которое обучает чему - нибудь , преподаватель ". Но действительно ли это так ? Учитель - это нечто большее .

Учитель - это и преподаватель , и психолог , и родитель , и друг своего ученика. Это тот человек , который способен вести за собой по сложному , но очень интересному пути , пути постижения чего - то нового и интересного . Никто не говорит , что этот путь прост , он сложен , но чрезвычайно интересен . Благодаря ему педагог может раскрыть и показать различные тайны Вселенной , описать всевозможные законы и правила , научить ученика учиться и самостоятельно узнавать что - то новое .

Мне повезло, я - учитель английского и испанского языков. На мой взгляд, это самая лучшая профессия, так как именно здесь я могу раскрыть свой творческий потенциал, воплотить идеи и достичь многого; могу передать свои знания и научить своих подопечных говорить на иностранном языке, понимать его, рассказать о культуре различных стран и о ее влиянии на людей, то есть обучить тому, что действительно пригодится в жизни, так как на сегодняшний день владение иностранными языками является одним из важнейших знаний в жизни любого человека.

Немаловажным является тот факт, что учитель должен любить и уважать того, кого он учит, иначе ни о каком взаимодействии не может быть и речи. Любовь к детям - это одно из важных качеств педагога, поскольку, если он не будет их любить, уважать, ценить и видеть в них личность, то он никогда не сможет наладить контакт с ними, никогда не сможет их понять, и они не смогут приблизиться к своему педагогу. Дети - отличные психологи, и они прекрасно чувствуют отношение других людей к себе, поэтому к ним нужно относиться внимательно и к каждому подбирать определенный подход. Я люблю детей. Работая летом в оздоровительных лагерях вожатой, я поняла, что дети - это часть меня, часть моего внутреннего психического состояния. Каждый год я ждала этого времени года, так как знала, что снова встречу новых и уже ставших родными мне детей, снова буду проводить с ними весь день и заряжаться от них той буйной энергетикой, которая способна излечить человека от любой хандры и болезни. Это непередаваемое ощущение.

Профессия учителя на протяжении многих веков считается одной из самых уважаемых, уникальных, важных и почетных, ведь именно на учителя возлагается огромная ответственность за обучение детей, передачу им знаний, а также за воспитание и развитие их определенных качеств и умений.

Многие люди идут в университеты и другие учебные учреждения за получением этой профессии, немногие остаются в этой сфере и на то есть разные причины. Те, кто остается, должны нести это звание гордо. Они должны знать, что рядом с ними есть те, кому нужна их поддержка; есть те, кто с широко раскрытыми глазами смотрят на них, стараясь не упустить ни одной детали для того, чтобы узнать все тайны мира, но так же есть и другие дети, которых нужно чем-то заинтересовать, показать и доказать, что учиться - это действительно необходимо и интересно. Каждый учитель - это образец для подражания. Он должен нести в себе столько доброты и света, сколько необходимо для поддержания эмоциональной атмосферы. Он должен заряжать своим оптимизмом окружающих его людей. Ему следует работать над собой и в любых ситуациях, при любых обстоятельствах показать свой профессионализм, выдержку, умение слушать, слышать и действовать.

Вот уже несколько лет ключевой для меня является фраза Сократа "в каждом ребенке есть солнце, только дайте ему светить". Дети уникальны по своей натуре, каждый из них имеет определенные способности, задатки и умения, которые мы - учителя, совместно с родителями, должны развивать, оттачивать и доводить до совершенства. Настоящий учитель будет стараться сделать это несмотря ни на что.

Я стану настоящим учителем, для этого у меня есть все, что необходимо на первоначальном этапе - окончание любимого университета с отличием, знание двух шикарных иностранных языков и культур, любовь к детям, а самое главное - желание и интерес к своей работе!
